The moment every tech enthusiast has been waiting for is finally here! Apple has pulled back the curtain at WWDC 2025, unveiling iOS 26—a breathtaking, transformative upgrade that is set to redefine what it means to use an iPhone. With electrifying new features and a design overhaul that leaves old apps looking like relics from another era, iOS 26 is destined to stir both excitement and inspiration in the hearts of users everywhere

A Visual Revolution with Liquid Glass

Prepare to have your senses dazzled. iOS 26 debuts a revolutionary design language called Liquid Glass—an ethereal blend of translucency, motion, and light that makes each interaction a mini visual symphony. This isn’t just a tweak to the aesthetic; it’s a complete reimagination of how information flows and feels on your device. The new Home Screen and Lock Screen adapt fluidly to the imagery behind them, making every glance at your phone a fresh experience. Whether you’re scrolling through your photo library or sifting through notifications, Liquid Glass delivers a dynamic, immersive sensation that’s as practical as it is stunning

Smarter, Faster, and Incredibly Intuitive

Beyond the dazzling visuals lies the beating heart of the iOS 26 experience: Apple Intelligence. This update turns your iPhone into a more intuitive, responsive companion. Think smarter Siri suggestions, on-device AI capabilities that protect your privacy, and innovations like Live Translation in Messages and FaceTime—all designed to make your interactions more seamless and personal. The system learns from your habits to enhance battery life and even refines how you interact with key apps, transforming mundane tasks into bursts of efficiency and creativity. It’s all about empowering you with a tool that adapts to the pace of modern life, keeping you connected and in command at every moment

Apple Maps – Seamlessly Interact with your Surroundings

Apple Maps has received a clever upgrade with the introduction of Visited Places. This feature privately logs where you’ve been, storing location history on-device while harnessing daily habits to predict future routes. Imagine a Maps experience that learns from your routines, subtly nudging you with smarter, almost anticipatory route suggestions. The transformation is designed to enhance navigation while respecting your privacy at every step

CarPlay – Extends the Update Across all in-car Displays

CarPlay has undergone an eye-catching makeover that retains core functionality without distracting from the drive. The update integrates Apple’s signature Liquid Glass design, giving icons, buttons, and backgrounds a delightfully translucent, dynamic appearance. On the functionality front, CarPlay now sports a compact incoming call view that lets navigation remain visible without interruption. It also supports pinned chats and Tapbacks in Messages, along with dynamic widgets that let you effortlessly access essential information—all configurable via your iPhone.

A Developer’s Dream and a User’s Playground

Excitement is already surging among developers, as the iOS 26 Developer Beta is now available, inviting tech trailblazers to test-drive the future of mobile technology. For those eager to jump in a little earlier, the Public Beta is set to roll out in the coming weeks, opening the gateway to this playground of innovation. Imagine exploring a revamped Camera app with a cleaner, more focused layout, or diving into a reimagined Safari that lets web pages unfold in an entirely new way. Every feature has been meticulously refined to offer faster performance, enhanced usability, and an experience so rich, it practically sparkles with potential

Redefining Privacy and Personalization

In today’s digital landscape, privacy stands paramount. With iOS 26, Apple has doubled down on its commitment to keeping your data on device and out of unwanted hands without sacrificing the intelligence that makes your iPhone truly personal. New features ensure that while your iPhone gets smarter with each interaction, it never compromises the security and personal space that you deserve. This seamless integration of advanced technology and rock-solid privacy offers reassurance in a world where digital interactions are more complex than ever

Setting the Stage for Tomorrow

iOS 26 is more than just a platform update—it’s an invitation to step into a new era of mobile innovation. It harmoniously blends cutting-edge design with unparalleled intelligence, creating a user experience that feels both futuristic and deeply personal. This launch isn’t just about new features; it’s a statement about Apple’s relentless pursuit of perfection and its willingness to push boundaries in the name of progress.

For those who revel in exploring uncharted digital territories, iOS 26 is your ticket to the future. Whether you’re a developer eager to experiment with the latest APIs or a user excited to experience a redefined ecosystem, there’s never been a better time to dive into what Apple has crafted.

As we stand on the brink of this bold new chapter, one thing is certain: the iPhone will never be the same again. And with innovations like Liquid Glass and enhanced on-device intelligence, the future is not just bright—it’s dazzling. Get ready to unlock a world where every swipe, tap, and glance is an experience in itself.

Apple’s iOS 18, a significant update to its mobile operating system, is packed with innovative features designed to enhance user experience and privacy. Released in September 2024, iOS 18 introduces a range of enhancements across various areas, including:

Enhanced Privacy: The update includes new privacy features like Contact Sync, which allows users to have greater control over which apps can access their contact information. Additionally, iOS 18 strengthens privacy protections for web browsing and app tracking.

Improved Performance: The operating system offers improved performance and battery life, ensuring a smoother and more efficient user experience.

New Camera Features: iOS 18 brings exciting new camera features, such as advanced computational photography techniques and improved video stabilization.

Enhanced Accessibility: Apple has focused on making iOS 18 more accessible to users with disabilities, with new features and improvements to VoiceOver, AssistiveTouch, and more.

Updated Apps: Several built-in apps, including Messages, Maps, and Photos, receive significant updates with new features and enhancements.

The highlight of the release – Enhanced Privacy

Apple’s iOS 18 update has introduced a significant change to the Contact Sync feature, which has sparked a mix of praise and concern. This update allows users to have more control over their contact sharing, but it also poses challenges for companies that rely on contact data to connect users, with The New York Times even publishing if Apple Just Kill Social Apps?.

The Changes in iOS 18 Contact Sync

Previously, when an app requested access to a user’s contacts, it was an all-or-nothing decision. Users had to either share their entire contact list or none at all. With iOS 18, Apple has introduced a more granular approach. Now, users can choose specific contacts to share with an app, rather than granting access to their entire contact list.

Let’s delve into the pros and cons of this change.

Pros from a Privacy Perspective

Enhanced User Control: Users can now decide exactly which contacts they want to share with an app. This selective sharing enhances privacy by limiting the amount of personal information exposed

Reduced Data Exposure: By allowing users to share only selected contacts, the risk of exposing sensitive information is minimized. This is particularly beneficial for users who have a mix of personal and professional contacts

Increased Trust: This change can increase user trust in apps and the iOS ecosystem as a whole. Knowing that they have more control over their data may encourage users to share information more willingly, albeit selectively

Cons from a Data Collection Perspective for Companies

Reduced Data Availability: For companies that rely on contact data to connect users, the selective sharing feature means they will have access to less data. This can hinder their ability to suggest connections and grow their user base

Challenges for New Apps: Start-ups and new social apps may find it particularly challenging to gain traction. Without access to comprehensive contact lists, their ability to help users find friends and build networks is significantly reduced

Potential Competitive Disadvantage: Established apps with large existing user bases may not feel the impact as severely. However, new entrants may struggle to compete, as they won’t have the same level of data to leverage for user connections

The changes to the Contact Sync feature in iOS 18 reflect Apple’s ongoing commitment to user privacy. While these changes offer significant benefits in terms of enhanced control and reduced data exposure, they also present challenges for companies that depend on contact data. Balancing privacy with functionality will be key for app developers moving forward.

What are your thoughts on this update? Do you think the privacy benefits outweigh the challenges for companies?

Apple Inc. is poised to make a significant leap in artificial intelligence with the upcoming launch of Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI-powered features integrated into iOS 18.1. Initially showcased at WWDC 2024, Apple Intelligence promises to enhance user experience across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.

A New Era of AI Integration

Apple Intelligence is set to seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into the core of the iOS ecosystem. Early indications suggest that this will manifest in several key areas:

Calling all iPhone users who’ve been rocking the exclusive iMessage club for years… hold onto your emoji hats! Buckle up, because according to a rogue Google intern (and a now-deleted webpage – whoops!), a messaging revolution is brewing. Yes, you read that right. RCS might be crash-landing on iPhones this fall!

The rumor mill started churning, about RCS coming to iPhone, thanks to Google, who spilled the beans a little too early on their Google Messages page. The since-vanished blurb declared, “Apple has announced it will be adopting RCS in the fall of 2024.” Now, Apple themselves haven’t exactly confirmed this news with a confetti-filled press conference, but hey, a deleted webpage is practically an official announcement, right?

For those who’ve been living under a rock (or just haven’t texted an Android user in, well, forever), RCS is the fancy term for an upgrade to those prehistoric SMS texts. Think fancy chat features like disappearing messages, typing indicators, and file transfers that go beyond those pixelated cat memes. Basically, it’s the messaging upgrade we never knew we needed (until now!).

So, what does this mean for you, iPhone overlord? Well, get ready to ditch the green bubble blues! Texting with your Android-loving comrades will finally feel like a party, not a dusty, outdated chatroom. While the exact details of how RCS will integrate with the iMessage kingdom remain a mystery (think secret handshake or password?), it’s a giant leap towards a messaging utopia where bubbles are all created equal (even the boring green ones).

Now, before you start prepping your victory dance, remember – this is April 1st. So, take this news with a grain of salt (or a sprinkle of emoji dust, whichever you prefer). But hey, even if RCS on iPhones turns out to be a giant April Fool’s prank, at least we can all dream of a day when texting truly transcends the green bubble divide, right?

Hold on a sec, though! While RCS on iPhones this fall might be a future dream, there’s a bit of history here. Apple has been resistant to adopting RCS in the past. Some speculate they prefer users to stick within the iMessage ecosystem, where features like message encryption and tight integration with other Apple services might keep users loyal.

There have been rumors and discussions about Apple budging on RCS, but nothing official. So, for now, this April Fool’s story might have to wait a bit longer before becoming reality.

Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2

Apple introduced two new versions of its smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2. The Apple Watch Series 9 features a faster chip, a larger display, a longer battery life, and a new blood pressure sensor. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 features a premium design, a sapphire crystal display, a titanium case, and a carbon-neutral option. Both watches run on watchOS 10, which offers new features such as sleep tracking, handwashing detection, fitness sharing, and more.

iOS 17

Apple announced iOS 17, the latest version of its operating system for iPhones and iPads. iOS 17 offers new features such as widgets on the home screen, app library, picture-in-picture mode, app clips, translate app, messages app enhancements, maps app improvements, privacy features, and more. iOS 17 also supports Face ID unlocking with masks using an Apple Watch. iOS 17 will be available as a free update for compatible devices from Monday the 18th of September 2023 onwards.

That’s when all of the iPhones that are still supported will receive it as a free over-the-air update. That’s iPhones starting from the 2nd generation SE, iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max onwards, so no iPhone X or older models unfortunately.

Finally to wrap up the highlights, for those of you who missed the live stream of the event, you can watch it all here in detail as the Apple announced all their latest tech.

Each year Apple kicks off its Worldwide Developer Conference WWDC23 with a few hours of just straight announcements, generally covering things from OS to watchOS to new and updated gadgets. But this years most awaited gadget has been the Apple Vision Pro, Apple’s version of AR/VR headset!

The 2023 edition of WWDC began yesterday on the 5th of June 2023 and as every year, started with high expectations from all the Apple fans around. The entire event was also telecasted live on the Apple Youtube channel.

Now that we have already leaked out the most awaited gadget, lets look at all the highlights and announcements of WWWDC 2023

FaceTime on AppleTV

FaceTime is coming to Apple TV. You can use your camera on the iPad or iPhone and view the people you’re talking to on your big screen. This will use Continuity Camera on an iPhone or iPad to double as a webcam and will also use Center Stage, Apple’s AI-powered tech that adjusts the iPhone’s and iPad’s front-facing camera in video apps, to frame you while you look at the TV.

Apple also said you’ll soon be able to find your lost Apple TV remote using FindMy, so long as you have the newer Siri remote.

MacOS 14 Sonoma

Apple’s latest desktop operating system, macOS 14, is named for another California town, this time, Sonoma.

The desktop is getting interactive widgets and there is a game mode designed to limit distractions amid a growing selection of silicon titles.

It seems the company is getting more serious about teleconferencing, as well (as the webcams have also improved). This includes a new overlay feature that cuts out the speaker, playing them in front of a dynamic background. There are new effects like fireworks, as well. These are compatible with the standard teleconferencing apps, including FaceTime, Zoom, Teams and more.

iOS 17

Apple just announced iOS 17, which includes a bunch of changes coming to the iPhone.

Personalized contact posters, either using photos or Memoji, will allow users to choose their contact card for other users. Live transcription, in real-time, will also be coming for phone voicemails

Facetime will be getting a voicemail functionality

A Check-in feature lets you tell a family member or friend when you’re home. Or, if you’re delayed, it’ll tell your friend that, too

Messaging apps will now have a different layout, expanding to take up the full screen.

Users can now bump two iPhones or Apple Watches together to share contacts, music, internet, or other shared activities with each other, a feature called “NameDrop.”

iPadOS 17

Apple has always been maitaining a separate stream of software for their iPhones as well as iPads. With the announcement of the new iPadOS 17, Apple is brining improved widgets featuring better live interactions, the Home Screen can be customized similarly to the iPhone, and there are new native apps, including the Health app and an improved Notes app.

WatchOS 10

Users can now turn the digital crown to reveal widgets, like the weather and calendar. Apple also introduced new apps like world clock, which features clocks that have background colors that reflect the time of day.

Making the full use of the digital crown, now when you rotate the digital crown, it shows new, full-screen displays.

15 inch Macbook Air

Its the announcement of Macbook graduating to the 15inch real estate! Weighing in at 3.3 pounds, the Air uses last year’s M2 chip (supply chain shortages are suspected to be at play here). That’s an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. Memory can be configured up to 24GB and storage up to 2TB. There’s a MagSafe charger and only two thunderbolt/USB-C ports (like the 13-inch).

M2 Ultra chipset

As with the progress in tech industry, every new chip is made even more powerful than its previous generation chip. In the same lines, M2 Ultra is the most powerful Apple Silicon chip yet.

It is built using 5 nm technology and featuring 134 billion transistors and will feature 24 CPU cores, up to 76 GPU cores (there’s also a 60-core option) and a 32-core Neural Engine. The CPU consists of 16 next-gen high-performance cores and eight high-efficiency cores.

One major change is that the M2 Ultra supports up to 192 GB of unified memory, backed by 800 GB of memory bandwidth.

Vision Pro AR headset

The era of spatial computing is here. Where digital content blends seamlessly with your physical space. So you can do the things you love in ways never before possible. This is Apple Vision Pro.
— Apple (@Apple) June 5, 2023

Finally to the most exciting announcement from Apple. Apple’s headset is finally here. It features exterior cameras, allowing users to interact with digital content in mixed reality. The product will have 2 hours of use on a battery pack that the headset plugs into.

When users don the headset, they arrive at the Home view, a floating set of icons with Apple’s most used apps, including Mail, Music, Messages, and Safari. The system doesn’t need controllers or hardware. High-speed IR cameras and LED illuminators track a user’s eyes to free them from “clumsy” controllers, Apple said.

Working with Unity, “hundreds of thousands” of iPad and iPhone apps will run on visionOS at launch. Microsoft’s Office Productivity suite will also work on visionOS.
